Projects
while(!succeed) {try()}
Started coding two years ago. I'm very good at adding bugs to empty text files, see some examples below! For even more, check out my Github linked at the top of this page.

Bot-O-Mat
As part of my interview for an internship, I created this application called Bot-O-Mat using Java and JavaFX.
Key accomplishments and duties:
Developed front-end graphical interface and back-end for JavaFX application that collects user input to create a custom robot.
Tasks for the robot are generated randomly and a countdown timer shows how long it takes the robot to complete each task.
Robot completes tasks and removes them from the list when they are done (i.e. enough time has passed since starting the task).
Buswhere
For my Software Engineering course group project, my team members and I developed Buswhere, an application for students, parents, and school officials to see schoolbus information.
Key accomplishments and duties:
Created JavaFX application that shows daily NYC schoolbus breakdowns and delays by parsing JSON data from the Socratic SODA API.
Implemented login and signup features which saves users into a MYSQL database.
Used JUnit and Test-FX to implement unit tests for both front-end and back-end.

ZETA
As part of the Google CodeU program, for twelve weeks during the summer, I collaborated virtually with a Googler and a team of other college students to develop a chat web app.
Key accomplishments and duties:
Designed and implemented profile pages, mention/tagging attribute, and message seen feature for the app using Java, JavaServer Pages and JavaScript.
Developed and conducted usability tests, implementing enhancements to improve user experience.
Struggle-Better
As participants of the Google Computer Science Summer Institute, my team members and I came up with a website specifically designed to help college students overcome their struggles. While working on this project, I was determined to produce an outcome with a stunning visual appeal that wouldn’t compromise on functionality. I wanted our UI to capture people's attention and our features to keep them coming back for more.
Key accomplishments and duties:
Designed home, stress, time and budget management pages using HTML and CSS.
Implemented blog feauture that allows users to post and see each other's moods using Python.
Added sign in with Google account feature using App Engine Users API.

Intelligent Software Control for Nano-satellites
June 2015 - August 2015
NASA's CubeSat launch initiative provides opportunities for students to get exposure to NASA activities and gain interest in STEM careers. CubeSats are a class of research spacecraft called nanosatellites. The software for controlling, tracking, and communicating with the satellite has to be developed following best practices, in addition to ensuring that the CubeSat is robust and able to tolerate and recover from the unexpected.
